Etiquette in a game is
more than mere replica of the person’s character and strength of
mind; it is the basic foundation of a long-lasting camaraderie that’s
the soul of every poker room available. We have gathered here some
points to show etiquette in a poker game; these, we believe, would
ensure a sportsmanship-enhancing experience in playing poker, online
or off. And the list goes:

• To act even if it’s
  not your turn deliberately is one big no-no.

• Intentionally
  splashing chips into the pot is a turn-off.

• It’s not
  acceptable to read another player’s card at showdown before he
  places it face-up on the table.

• Asking a player to
  turn a hand face-up during showdown is not good. You have to keep
  your hands off anybody’s business.

• To splash chips into
  the pot deliberately is a violation.

• To stall any action
  in the game is a prohibition.

• Another pothole is
  revealing the contents of a live hand in a multi-handed pot before
  betting begins.

• When cards are
  released, it should be in a low line of flight at moderate speed,
  not at a chip-rack or dealer’s hands.

• When a player’s
  all in, it’s not proper to check a card out.

• To stack chips in a
  pile that interferes in the line of sight for the viewing and
  dealing of cards.

• Influencing the
  course of the play by stating something or making actions, whether
  the offender is involved or not, in the pot is inappropriate.

In a card room where
smoking is not completely banned, the following information on
tobacco use have to be brought in mind:

• Nonsmoking seats are
  those found on the sides of the dealer.

• Pipes and cigars are
  not allowed.

• A spectator or a
  guest is not allowed to smoke.
